This article begins with a brief review of literature on child suicide, & then outlines the incidence of suicide among children. The author discusses concepts of death toward suicide attempts, & their motivations. He details diagnostic considerations & treatment. He concludes that suicide attempts are symptoms of famly disorganization, not just of childhood psychopathology. (VM)
