Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better! Professionals and Volunteers in a Suicide Prevention Agency

This paper examines the roles of the professionals & volunteers at the suicide prevention & crisis services in Ithaca, New York & reasons for lack of tension between them. For example, mutual respect arises from the fact that many professionals were volunteers, that the professionals who work most closely with the agency have had a direct hand in training volunteers, & clarity of purpose & role.
