Evaluation of the Suicide Prevention Training Program in the Atlantic Region

Presents an evaluative study of the Suicide Prevention Training Program as implemented by the Correctional Service ofCanada in Atlantic Region institutions from January 1984-June 1986. Includes background to the program: a description of the mandate, objectives, program design, application, activities of the workshop, an outline of the method of evaluation, and detailed findings which indicate the program is effective and should be retained. Recommendations for continued success are given. (LH)
