The purpose of this study was to investigate the occurrence of violent & suicidal behavior in one & the same individual, in order to clarify their interrelationship. Among chronically suicidal subjects, long-term aggressive behavior had occurred in 65% of cases. In other subjects it had occurred in only 28% of cases. Chronic aggressiveness & suicidal tendencies are significantly linked in this group of patients. (LH)
