This article suggests that depression following myocardial infarction (MI) is a universal phenomenon & describes its course, cause & treatment. Post-MI depression may be characterized by fatigue, sleep & eating distubances, & suicidal thoughts. Common causes are given, & coping factors & treatment suggestions are included. 22 Refs. (LH)
