The study was on the multideterminant stress factors which may predispose distressed adolescents to suicide attempts. 3 instruments measuring stress were administered to 45 adolescent attempters, 45 adolescents who were medically ill, & 45 who were being counselled at an outpatient clinic.The prediction that the suicidal group experienced more stress & had less social support than the comparison groups was strongly supported.
