Describes a project to develop staff training in suicide prevention for the Southeast Network of Runaway, Youth & Family Services. The children involved are in crisis for a variety of reasons & are considered at high risk for suicide. The needs assessment focused on the problem that, on less than a 4 day stay, a suicidal youth would not be detected without appropriate suicide screening, assessment & staff awareness. A description of the evaluation process & procedures is included.
