This paper addresses the Alcohol Peer Counselor Training Program at Dartmouth College implemented in response to alcohol-related risk-taking behavior. The program, which is oriented toward reality therapy, is offered either 3 hours/week for 5 weeks or during a 24-hour off-campus weekend retreat. Program content is described briefly, as is the Education Outreach Program. Providing information about alcohol is part of the college obligation to encourage students to discover their own identities.
