Compared the results from a previous study in New Orleans, which indicated that work difficulties were characteristic of men who eventually commit suicide, to the results of a similar study in Los Angeles. The 2nd study involved 50 20-60 yr. old male Ss who were compared with those of the New Orleans sample, all relevent variables(marital status,age,race, etc.) were roughly similar. The only significant difference was that Los Angeles Ss had a greater number of family and job problems.
