Canadian entertainer Tommy Common committed suicide on August 14, 1985, at the age of 51. His suicide appeared to be precipitated by several factors, which included a recent criminal offense, domestic problems, alcoholism, a drop in socioeconomic status, & lack of career opportunities. (NBB)
