Dermatological artefacts are skin lesions produced by a person without the intent of killing him/herself. The purpose of this study was to determine the personality & to define the psychic disturbances of these patients, with a view to finding common traits. Subjects were all patients who had been treated at a university skin clinic in Switzerland.
