A 3-day treatment program for those in emotional crisis is described. Admission to the 7-bed Emergency Treatwent Unit of this Connecticut facility for this limited time period involves a program of drug therapy & intensive psychotherapy in the form of team, unit, family, & individal encounters. After discharge, patients report for 30 days for follow-up care & consultation. Founders of the program claim the treatment results are as good as those achieved in other, longer, programs. (NBB)
