This 1 day workshop held May 24/85 was sponsored by the Project Earth & the Sik-ooh-kotok Friendship Society. In response to a growing awareness among the Native community, practitioners & social researchers of the rising incidence of Native suicide. Included in this report are organizational details & a statement of purpose, the epidemiology of Native suicide, causes & risk factors, suicide prevention at individual & community levels, & observations & conclusions from group discussions.
