This article discusses P. Roazen’s thesis in “Brother Animal” (1969) that Freud played a significant role in the suicide (1919) of V. Tausk, & K. R. Eissler’s defense of Freud in “Talent & Genius” (1971), which offers an alternative explanation, in psychological terms, of Tausk’s self-destruction. 17 ref.
