In a Letter to the Editor of Pediatrics, May 1981, Dr. Cunningham takes exception to statements made by the Committee on Adolescence of the AAP that patients making suicidal gestures may be treated by their pediatrician. He states such patients should more properly be referred for psychiatric care. (NBB)
