This study reports the results of 2 investigations made of the incidence & nature of parental deprivation occurring in patients who had attempted suicide as compared with a control group of general hospitals. No statistically significant difference between subjects & controls in incidence of parental deprivation in either study, although deprivation was higher in patients who had attempted suicide.
