Biological Factors and Pharmacologic Treatment in Major Depressive Disorder in Children and Adolescents (IN: Suicide in the Young, ed. by H S Sudak et al)

The authors investigate the dysfunction of several neurorequlatory systems as they relate to depression in children & adolescents. The influence of chronological age on biological indices of depression is explored by comparing symptomatology in children & adolescents with that of adults. Recommendations for psychopharmological treatment of children & adolescents are made on the basis of the results of this investigation.(NBB)
