In this article, the syndrome of primary transexualism is delineated. Family & developmental history, clinical course &personality organization are discussed. The syndromes of secondary transexualism are described. Differentiates between homosexual transexualism & transvestic transexualism. Also discusses how both of these differ from primary transexualism. The etiology of tramsexualism is discussed & recommendations are made for treatment.
