A comparison of Australian samples of suicidal & non-suicidal, but psychiatrically ill, adolescent populations was done to determine which variables distinguish the suicidal population. Loss and family intactness were the two principle factors which differentiated the groups. A third factor, violent interaction in the family, was also highly significant. (JS)
