The aim of this study was to examine religious beliefs & practices in a group of cases of self-poisoning seen at the General Hospital Birmingham, England. The question of whether or not the Roman Catholics in this group were less intropunitive & more extrapunitive than the Protestants was also examined. No significant differences in total hostility or direction of hostility were observed. (11 refs.)
