A programme of group therapy for suicidal subjects is described. 3 methods were used, special problem groups, comprising individuals in crisis, stutterers or even the physically infirm eg. paraplegics, to whom the therapist may give advice & reassurance; discussion groups comprising Alcoholics Anonymous meetings & gatherings of hospital patients led by nursing personnel- there is no catharsis, per se, of any type; & various analytic groups, sensitivity training meetings & marathon gatherings.
