Ego Identity at Adolescence as a Factor in Location and Prevention of Suicidal Inclinations: Cross Cultural Aspects
Tzuriel D~~Bar Yosef H
Proposes a study designed (a) to examine the contribution of adolescent ego identity factors in the prediction of suicide in Canada & Israel; (b) to study risk factors of suicidal tendencies; (c) to investigate if ego identity factors & other variables predict suicidal behaviors differentially in each culture; & (d) to suggest prevention procedures for intervention with high risk suicidal adolescents. The main hypothesis is that a consolidated & firm ego identity is a key behavioral determinant.
