This article analyzed the autopsy reports of 581 cases of suicide that occurred in Thailand from 1960-1969. The following conclusions were drawn: the male: female suicide ratio is 6:4; the highest age group incidence is 20-39 years; girls predominate among adolescents (0:19 years); & poisoning was the most common method. Emotional instability was identified as a dominant characteristic of these people, with socioeconomic factors playing a significant role among males.
