Compared Australian data pertaining to suicide & accidental deaths for 1962-1969 with those for suicide, undetermined deaths, & accidental deaths for 1968-1971. Data suggest that deaths classified as “undetermined” after the introduction of the category in 1968 has been classified as accidental prior to that data, especially deaths from poisoning.
