Notes that sudden onset of psychosis & remission of psychotic symptoms represent peaks of suicide risk for the schizophrenic. Suggests the following as prevention measures: 1. watch for symptoms of depression; 2. do not allow medication to accumulate; 3. increase patient’s feelings of self-worth; 4.provide relationship therapy.
