This study compares adolescent level of adjustment as viewed by a group of mental health professionals & a group of teens. Professionals viewed teens as having more problems than did the teens. It appears that professionals are more aware of what is pathological than what is normal. It is difficult to differentiate between normal development turmoil, slight adjustment crises & serious psychological disturbances.(JH)
