154 Subjects rated the concepts of life and death with the semantic differential. Ratings of life and life minus death significantly discriminated between suicidal & nonsuicidal Subjects & between more & less suicidal. Changes in evaluation of life were significantly associated with changes in self-rated suicide intent. Evaluation of life was more sensitive than other life factor scores to suicide behavior and suicide intent.
