Abstract
Staff May be Cited in Ponoka Suicide
In a brief Calgary Herald article, the Edmonton Journal is quoted as reporting the possibility that two Alberta Hospital Ponoka nurses might be cited by the Provincial Ombudsman for negligence in connection with the 1981 suicide of a 17 year old patient. Ombudsman Ivany wrote to the two nurses, threatening punitive measures, and guaranteeing their right to present their defense, with legal counsel, to him. (JG)
