“Designing Interpersonal Skills” involves the use of a structured interpersonal skill training base to assist in the development of positive peer relations and to encourage the use of peer group to support self-directed learning. Interpersonal or social skills are catalysts to learning. the socially competent individual is usually more willing to risk experiences that will contribute to the development of competence in other areas as well. Successful interpersonal experiences have a positive influence on self-confidence and self-esteem.
