An overview of factors related to suicide and of suicide intervention programs in Alberta

This report provides a synthesis of the most recent statistical data and research on youth suicide. Promising programs, practices and current training models are reviewed as well as leading practices in suicide intervention, prevention and postvention. Rates and risk factors of suicide in Canada, and more specifically Alberta are cited. Interview with Canadian experts in the field were conducted to provide additional context and identify gaps in the research literature.
