Abstract
The Life and Work of Wilhelm Reich: A Case Study of the Subjectivity of Personality Theory
Atwood G E~~Stolorow R D
It is proposed that the personality & theoretical system of Wilhelm Reich reflects his childhood experience of his mother’s suicide. Reich’s ideas about psychoanalysis, politics, biology & UFO’s are summarized. It is then argued that these ideas originated with his mother’s suicide which occurred when Reich reported her adultery.
