Suicide prevention centres number more than 50 in Canada, but an evaluative model has not been developed, largely because of lack of standards, small proportion of suicide callers & anonymity of callers. With suicide rates still on the increase, medical & non-medical services should collaborate & undergo evaluation using the same criteria.(KM)
