Associations between self-harm & peer & dating violence perpetration & victimization among youth in a high-risk community are examined. Cross-sectional logistic regression analyses are based on data from the 2004 Youth Violence Survey administered to over 80% of public school students in Grades 7, 9, 11, & 12 in an urban school district. Findings show that 20.3% of 4131 student respondents reported engaging in self-harm during the previous 12 months. Moreover, self-harm was associated with peer violence perpetration & victimization for both boys & girls, & also with dating violence perpetration among boys & girls. (72 refs.) JA
