This is the second edition of a blueprint for a Canadian national suicide prevention strategy. The document outlines the guiding principles as well as the goals associated with each of four areas of interest: awareness & understanding; prevention, intervention, & postvention; knowledge development & transfer; & funding & support. 6 appendices are included that cover the rationale for the blueprint, current suicide prevention initiatives in Canada, national strategies from other countries, references, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, & contact information.
