This article notes suicide is the second leading cause of death among American college & university students. A number of high profile cases in the United States have raised questions about the adequacy of campus services for troubled students. Most college counselling centres lack the resources to care for all the students who need help &, in some cases, may not have the right to check on them after they have been referred to services off campus.
