Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors and Suicide: is the Evidence, as With Beauty, in the eye of the Beholder?

The author considers the current debate about whether selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors can trigger suicidality in vulnerable individuals. He suggests that those authors who argue that they do are spreading propaganda, & analyzes articles by Healy & others in an attempt to identify the “possible stylization of scientific argument into propaganda.” He concludes that these reports contain most mechanisms of good propaganda.
