Kalediene R~~Petrauskiene J
The aim of this study was to analyze daily variations in mortality from suicides of Lithuanian urban & rural populations in 2 different periods of national economic & political development (1988-1990 & 1998-200). The highest proportion of suicides occurred on Mondays & during the first days after the major public holidays, especially in men. Suicide mortality in rural areas was significantly higher than in urban areas. (33 refs)
