This article examined the relationship between serum lipid levels & violence among involuntarily secluded male forensic psychiatric patients. Involuntary seclusion reasons for many involved suicidal & violent behaviors. Tests showed that a high HDL (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol) level & low LDL (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol) & TG (triglyceride) levels may be linked with an increased risk of impulsive suicidal & violent behavior among forensic male patients.
