Bullock L F C~~Libbus M K~~et al
This article examines an investigator-designed survey that was used to determine if attendance at specific continuing education programs increased the competence of school nurses. Respondents were queried about the general content of six courses offered by the Missouri Department of Health. Specific content areas included mental health concerns, suicide prevention, diabetes management, asthma, seizure disorders, & skills pertaining to school aged children. The article reports that nurses who continued continuing education were found to be more competent then nurses who had not attended. (13 refs.) (AK)
