In a series of letters to the editor, various authors address a study by Schiodt et al on acetaminophen toxicity in a sample of patients in an urban county hospital (see SIEC #980270). Criticisms lie mainly with methodological issues but the conclusions that were reached are also questionted because of the methodological problems. The reply of Schiodt and his colleagues follows.
