Yearly mean percentages of unemployment & suicide rates (per 100,000 population) for specific age groups & by sex were compared over a 19 year period for Northern Ireland. Significant results were obtained for only two age groups of males (15-24 years & 45-54 years) & none for females. (7 refs.)
