Abstract
Homogeneous Group Therapy of Borderline Personality Disorder
O'Leary K M~~Turner E R~~et al
The authors maintained a psychotherapy group of 7 female borderline patients for 1 year. All patients had extensive histories of behavioural dyscontrol, including self-injurious acts & suicide attempts. The authors believe that the homogeneity of the group was conducive to treatment as it allowed the more dramatic experiences such as suicide attempts to be dealt with at face value without disruption of the group work since all members were struggling with the same severity of symptoms.
