The authors present: 1) a brief review of the literature on suicide risk & current strategies for risk assessment in adolescents, 2) essential components of staff training regarding adolescent suicide, & 3) a discussion of inter-agency networking which they feel is a prerequisite to the implementation of any suicide prevention program. In the latter part of this chapter, the authors present “The Evaluation of Risk & Imminent Danger” as a model of suicide prevention. (48 refs.)
