Abstract
Attempted Suicide Among High School Students – United States, 1990
This study surveyed 11,631 U.S. high school students on whether they had suicidal ideation or had attempted suicide in the preceding 12 months. The authors found that 27.3% had seriously thought about suicide, while 16.3% had made specific plans for suicide, & 8.3% had actually attempted suicide. Differences between gender & ethnic groups are also noted. (VM)
