This article is a denunciation of another essay written in support of the assisted suicide by Dr. Jack Kevorkian of an American woman who had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. The author disagrees with the lack of empathy demonstrated for families left behind, as well as the disregard for how euthanasia could jeopardize doctor-patient relationships. He also criticizes the way the disabled, the terminally ill & the lonely are used in the argument for medically assisted suicide. (VM)
