4 letters to the editor are presented. The 1st criticizes an article which portrayed suicide purely as a medical issue, ignoring widespread social problems. The 2nd letter is a response, by the authors of the original article, who explain their article was primarily directed towards physicians. The 3rd letter criticizes the assertion that increased suicide among teens is due to our dehumanizing modern society. The 4th letter responds to this criticism. (VM)
