Attempted Suicide by Jumping From a Height: A Five-year Retrospective Study (IN: Current Research on Suicide and Parasuicide, ed. by S D Platt and N Kreitman)
Pommereau X~~et al
This retrospective study examined the characteristics of people who survived an attempted suicide by jumping. The authors found most attempters were female, & most often suffered from a severe pathological disease. As well, many attempters describe a depersonalization experience in the moments before their action. The authors conclude that this particular method of suicide is linked to a set of radically narcissistic problems. (VM)
