Abstract
Disaffected Selves: Symbolic Interaction in Suicide, Madness, and Bohemianism (Micro HM 291 Z44 1986)
Zeftel M H
Zeftel compares and contrasts the symbolism of the self as well as the self’s construction of social reality in suicide, madness (schizophrenia), and Bohemianism. Suicide is analyzed as a modality by means of which the self carves out a particular symbolic world.
