The author proposes several psychodynamic factors underlying the choice of Caucasian women, who have been in reformatories, for Negro men as their love objects and marriage partners. Most of these relationships tend to end tragically. Unrealistic expectations are related to unconscious factors. Seen as desperate attempts for love & security, their insecurity & possessiveness has destructive effects & suicide is an escape from constant feelings of self-hate. Treatment plans are offered.
