World Suicide Prevention Day is all about bringing awareness to the issue of suicide, which for us means turning the day into a week so we can fit in all of our activities! Here’s what we have coming up:

Saturday, September 10
iE 21: What does successful recovery look like?
Our latest infoExchange editorial examines what recovery from mental illness looks like.

WSPD Poster Release
The concept of our poster image for this year’s WSPD honours individuality: each person is on their own journey, and no one journey is the same. Our entire lives are spent in a state of transformation; it is through transformation that we grow.

Monday, September 12
Kevin Hines at U of C
At 5:30 in the University Theatre, we’ll be hosting Kevin Hines, a suicide attempt survivor who jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge and lived. This event will also feature live music by local band Sealegs.

Tuesday, September 13 – Friday, September 16
